Problem installing Windows XP on Benq Joybook S32B-LM04

I have try to install Win XP on to Joybook S32B-LM04 (build for Vista) but it freezes!

At first I pop in XP cd ...
then press any key to load from cd.
The process continue passing all driver loading, then XP let you choose to install fresh copy OS or repair OS
I choose install fresh copy,
then it freezes at the blue screen that let you choose about format to NTFS , NTFS Quick

I try two copy of XP cd, it stuck at nearly same spot no respond from keyboard
Now I still can do normal boot from Harddisk because no format occure yet.

So i search from google about "XP install freeze" found that i have to check faulty for Ram, HDD, Optical Drive.
I try test Ram, HDD, and DVD drive but they all seem ok. Don't know what to do next i decide call BenQ support.

The solution is just follow step of XP installation but you need to be quick and no hesitate. Don't forget prepare number to fill in for your partition size.
It'll be fine if you can choose to format before it freezing, or else just redo the process again til you can do all step in time.

No power to monitor

My friend say her 3 yrs. Philips monitor is broken after didn't use it for a week.

And ask me to help select new one.

I try ask how it happen?

She said After plug it up, it spark at the socket and No power light up anymore.

Her Philips monitor plug type coming with ceramic fuse so that spark might blown it. But we don't have any fuse to replace.

After look at the back of a monitor the plug cord can be remove, so we replace it with a plug with no fuse. Now a monitor light up perfect ^ ^

Blurry text on my monitor SyncMaster 743nx

One day i found one of PC in office has a very blurry text
So annoying all text from Destop Icon to Web content. Font are very hard to read.


First, i try setting monitor resolution but no help.
then try all the VGA properties setting, clear type, etc. not thing make the font sharper.
Then I thought maybe a monitor driver cause the problem so i remove and installing new driver from official site. Umm still not the point. Text still blur.


This time i think this monitor is malfuntion. I touch turn off button and thought about contact the shop for replace one.

By mistake my finger touch the Auto button that locate at no.5 instead of button 6 (see above pic) This auto adjustment button i've never notice it before, screen go blank few second.

Surprise it come back with fresh and a lot sharper text.

Note: If using DVI cable to connect your monitor monitor's Auto button will be not available

Adobe Illustrator CS3 crash on start

Today my Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot start up

it crash on its Orange Logo page

after i try to restart program several time, (restart my PC, close all programs ,etc.)

still not pass through.

After many times i see that it is alway crash at the time of uploading font menu xx%

Then i realize lately i've install new Chinese font to use with Microsoft Publisher

So i go to Control Panel>Fonts

and I Choose veiw in detail for easier to find that font. After remove that font out Ai (Adobe Illustrator CS3) can launch up with no problem.

Excel 2007 document show you odd or not correct format on other's Pc

I found our company's billing forms that are create with Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet look differently and oddly in some machines here.

The Logo look bigger than normal, the content spacing look odd and margins are not correct. This also causing a printing problem. At first I thought maybe because of having different OS (Vista and XP), but it's not.

1. click at Excel Button (Big circle at left corner) then click Excel Options





2. At Popular group then click a Language Settings... button at bottom right







3. Choose Primary editing language to matches yours document language will solve the problem

Illustrator CS3 cannot save file

If Illustrator freeze on save and cannot save any document.
you should go to edit some part of "Settings.xml" that locate as follow

Documents and Settings>Username>Application Data>Adobe>Workflow>Settings.xml

Use notepad to edit file Setting.xml
just delete everything in between " " in the section name dialog-save, and dialog-open

Photoshop CS3 cannot save file

How to Install Prodikeys DM Value driver on Vista

Some of Vista Prodikeys User will find problem that the Software Driver coming with our Prodikeys Keyboard is not fully functioning like using it on Win XP machine. The software for playing midi instrument will not able to loading any of your own *.mid in learning mode.

• Prodikeys - PS/2
• Prodikeys DM - PS/2
• Prodikeys DM (Value) - PS/2

So installing normally from autorun like before will cause some malfuntion for the driver but it doesn't mean that you cannot use it on your vista machine.

Actually the old driver that came with the product can still working fine with the vista machine but all you have to do is just install the driver following these step (before doing these step please clean out old driver first)

1. Go to Start >Computer> Properties>device manager>Keyboard>update driver software...
2. Select search driver from Driver CD in folder Proddrvr>W2KXPDRV
3. Restart your PC
4. Go to Explorer to explore the Driver CD for Folder Setup and then double click Setup.exe
5. Reboot again
6. Finished Hoo rey!

Flash 8 Vista User found slow problem when editing symbol

When you try to edit your symbol in flash 8 a program will perform strange slow effect. This is huge problem but you can fix it in a few second.


1 Go to program root directory
Normally at C:>Program Files>Macromedia>Flash8>Flash

2 Right Click at "Flash.exe" Click >properties

3 Go to the Compatibilities Tab
Enable Check box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
In drop down list Choose "Windows XP (Service Pack2)"

4 Also in Check box below must tick at "Disable desktop composition"

How to fix ie7 from Runonce problem? With gpedit or Group Policy Edit is quite simple solution

For windows XP / Vista

Everytime i open IE7 browser will bring me direct to this page
http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx
but it not runonce like it said

This is how to solve the problem
1 Start> Run>

2 Type in "gpedit.msc" then Click OK
(for Vista it will ask for your permission click CONTINUE)

3 In the left hand pane follow this
Local Computer Policy>User Configuration
>Administrative Templates
>Windows Components
>Internet Explorer

4 In the right hand pane search for
" Prevent performance of First Run Customize settings"
and right click >properties

5 Choose "Enabled" and in drop down menu choose "Go directly to home page" then click OK
